HELP

Good day, First off thank you all for this great forum. Now I am new to this. I have inherited a 00 f350 7.3 diesel with 314k miles on and still a beast. My father in law passed and his last word to me was, "please take care of my truck it is now yours". Well this past Thursday on my way to work the water pump broke. It sat for 2 days until I had time to work on it. I replace water pump, thermestat, all water hoes, and belt. When I went to turn it on it wouldn't start, it sounded sluggish kinda like a low battery. I hooked up charger left it for bout 45 min and still nothing same noise and same result. My question is would this have affected the timing on it? And does this sound like a timing issue? Or is it just dead battery? Please help this is more then a truck to me.

The 7.3 uses gear to gear timing. You realistically never have to worry about timing being out. That's not the issue. What kind of charger? These trucks need a lot of amps to start.
