I recently purchased a 2017 F-350 with the 6.7. Since it was a used vehicle, there are few things I wanted to address. One being that the truck came with a Road Power generator installed. It has the engine mounted generator, driven by a belt. I was looking at removing the generator, I’ve already removed all the other components (control box and transformer). However, removing the generator portion looks a little more in-depth.
my truck has the dual alternators plus the generator. The issue is one of the alternators and the generator run on one belt, and everything else is on another belt.
I know there are 2 different belt options, single alternator vs dual alternators. But what about the configuration of both being on deprecate belts?
Any help would be awesome.
I am not sure that just because you have duel alternators that they run off the same belt. You can just go to the dealer with your vin and they can get you the correct belt.
