Remove rear window to fix trim?

As some background, when I first got my 2017 F250 Lariat, the rear window leaked. The dealership brought in a window company to "reset" the window. Since then, I have not had a leak issue. I recently noticed my roof trim had popped out by the window (see picture). I just took the truck in for warranty work (warranty is running out) including reflash the radio to fix the problem with not remembering the last channel, the death wobble, and the trim. They are telling me that they need to remove the window to reattach the trim and they will need to bring in a window person to fix it since the rivet is under the window. This sounds overly complicated to simply fix a trim issue. Anyone else have this issue?

There have been others on here with the same problem, I remember one saying the rear glass was removed to fix it, but several others said something like a silicone adhesive is sometimes used to reset it without window removal.

Here is one thread, there have been others. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1597844-roof-molding-end-cap-broken.html
