converting a 300 from fuel injection
I have a worn out 300 in a 82 f-250 . i have a 300 out of a 87 that is fuel injected. Has anyone ever converted a fuel injected motor to the older style carberated truck. I know that i just have to change the manifold to make it carbed, but can i use the duel exhaust manifold with my carbed intake, also what about the ingition can i use the distributer out of the 87,i know that's it's different. thank you for the help in advance.

You will need to use the intake from the 82, for the exhaust, you can use either, but, if you have any real cold weather, drivability will suffer with the EFI manifolds due to not having the intake heated. For the ignition, use the distributor out of the 82, the 87 has a computer controlled ignition, and no advance mechanisim in the distributor.
