Operating temp run time
I drive a 6.7l and live 15 minutes from work and drive a mix of highway and street speeds, other then my work commute I drive the wife's car for everything else other then if I am towing every few months or so.my question is am i running it long enough to keep the in good condition by cycling temps or do i need to add a longer drive every week or so?

The only thing anyone here can offer is their feelings on it. Those count for absolutely nothing. If you want data to talk to you, you need to get an oil analysis done. I use Blackstone, but there are others.
I can tell you the results of my oil analysis for a very lightly used truck, but so what. That's not your truck and my data doesn't plug neatly into your situation.

The 6.7L needs to be driven, especially when the DPF needs a regen.
