I drive a 6.7l and live 15 minutes from work and drive a mix of highway and street speeds, other then my work commute I drive the wife's car for everything else other then if I am towing every few months or so.my question is am i running it long enough to keep the in good condition by cycling temps or do i need to add a longer drive every week or so?

I can tell you the results of my oil analysis for a very lightly used truck, but so what. That's not your truck and my data doesn't plug neatly into your situation.
