If I plug the phone in with USB and Car Play displays Waze, my speed in the app is 10-15% higher than actual. It varies from 3mph high at city speeds to 10mph at highway speeds
That is an Apple CarPlay problem in how the speed is communicated to the phone over CarPlay. Update your sync to the newest version and it will fix it. You’ll have to search for the thread, but it requires a USB drive. I don’t have my version off hand, but you don’t have to update to the version now in the 2020 truck, just a newer version than what you have.
