I want to replace the Gas Tank (behind the seat) in my '69 f100 pickup. Any suggestions on what type, so to avoid smelling the gas? Thanks All!

Welcome to the forum. One thing is that there are many different varieties of tanks available, from early Mustang, Suburbans, etc, that it depends on your fabrication level on fitting one. Use the search function on the forum to find many threads on the subject.

The gas cap is defective and/or the neoprene filler hose between the tank and the metal filler tube has cracked...a common occurrence.

Replace the rubber filler and you won't smell gas.
