don't get me wrong I didn't spend a lot of time sniffing around the truck lol.

it’s a pretty noticeable odor. You don’t need to sniff it out.

I didn't cut it. It had 3 locking tabs that i twisted and used a pick to lift off.

The intercooler? Yeah, I wanted better heat transfer to help lower egt's and a something to handle higher boost pressures for the future.

Do yourself a favor and get the proper kit and not half *** stuff. Go with Absolute Performance CCV kit. You can route the hose to the exhaust and have it vent through there.

Not sure what makes that kit proper. It's doing the exact same thing with a slightly different design.
