If no radio then no holes for a radio. That is the case with your truck, yes.

Well, I already gave my opinion that any 1961 4x4 is rare. But, remember, rarity does not always equate to value. These trucks are not like a Corvette or other highly desirable car. But, you did not pay much so you might do well on resale. Depends on how the truck drives and how much you have to put into it if you keep it. Some of the parts are expensive like the turn signal switch alone can be $100, even for a reproduction.

I sort of doubt you will fund an early retirement on the sale of any of our trucks.

I was told the motor only has 12,000 miles on the motor isn’t grease covered and a lot of the blue paint is there

A good running 292 is worth more than $700 in my book. I don't think Ford started painting their engines Corporate Blue until 1966. Before that many of the blocks were painted black with the valve covers painted different colors to sort of help identify which engine it was. But, if it was rebuilt it's not uncommon to paint them blue just cause it is common and shows oil leaks better than a black paint tends to.

the original 292 went to the scrapper the block was cracked so the guy put in a 390 which I have checked and it is a true 390

That looks like a later FE. It might have the desirable D2 heads with hardened valve seats.

I’m not sure what year the motor is I’m gonna try and figure it out because I need to order a carb kit but I have confirmed as a true 390 not a 360

As it sits

The truck currently sits with no transmission I pulled it as I’m replacing the clutch but it runs really good been sitting since 1987 in a dusty shed you can tell by the dust on the custom cab badge any input on the clutch job or anything else I should do would be great and I’ll get to the 1 owner 67 f250 in the back someday I promise but the floors on the 61 are pretty nice the passenger side step is the only rusty one and it’s minor the drivers side step has no rust for being a Kansas truck it’s pretty solid truck seemed to be taken care of it’s pretty straight and it still has the factory mint green paint job which is a pretty color one I don’t see very often this Friday my dad is gonna get insurance on it then next Thursday I’m ordering my fly wheel and clutch and all the brake parts also I’m gonna title it and put a original 1961 Kansas tag on it and hopefully have it on the road by the end of August on the clutch I’m switching from a 11.5 inch clutch to a 11 inch clutch
