Why the dupli color? Its not something I would use on a newer truck. If your going DIY do Raptor liner, at least it won't blow off in the first carwash.

I agree with this! Also, Raptor liner offers tintable product so you can either color match or two tone and still DIY.
Personally, I like chrome bumpers. But if you are going to coat them, I would do a full two tone. The stripes don’t look so good to me.
If you DIY, I would not use the Duplicolor. Not one of the better products out there. Raptor works good, but it’s hard and brittle when it hardens. My last few projects I’ve used Monstaliner. Very durable, but stays a little flexible after it cures, so it’s not as likely to chip. I have a Jon boat I coated with it a few years ago and it still looks great. Monstaliner is tintable to match paint too. My new 350 is two tone, and I’m thinking about going over the rocker panels and wheel arch molding with it just for the texture. Rolling it on with their rollers or an undercoating gun both work well.
Edit: Here’s pic of the boat. I rolled on a coat for good coverage, then sprayed the last coat.

I agree unless you're ok with having to do touch ups down the road. I know lots of people paint things like rock sliders with Dupli-color because you expect the paint to get damaged and it's cheaper/easier to repair with rattle cans. For bumpers, I'd want something a little more durable.

Because, wait for it... not everyone likes chrome.
I hate chrome but the premium pkg on my XLT comes with it ☹.
I would gladly swap my chrome crap for Blk crap if someone has a brand new truck when mine comes in.
But no way am I spending MORE for blk....
thanks for the opinions, will look at the monstaliner, also was thinking about the color matched linex, did that to my ram a few years back. As for the covering of chrome, because I hate it, but don't want painted bumpers because they chip and rust. Had 2 150's with painted bumpers, one chipped and got rust spots on it before I had a chance to PPF it, and the other got the PPF pretty quick after purchase... Will be going to linex in a couple of weeks to get quote on bed, so will see what they will do for the bumpers... If I do color match bumper, might just throw some PPF on the sides to protect them a bit.....
