Sync USB Update Issues
So as some of you may(or may not) know, I have a 2018 EcoSport Titanium that I got last year, great car. Today, I tried updating to the latest Sync version, which according to owner.ford.com is Sync 3.0(tbh, I was expecting a newer version since it's a 2018, barely a year since I bought it... but oh well). So, I followed the instructions and got it on the USB, and when I plug it into the vehicle, I see the notification "__________ detected"(the flash drive), and then nothing. I sit there for several minutes and no update starts. As for the wifi update, it's super slow, and taking forever just to find the update(with my driveway I can only get so close to the house, so the wifi signal is pretty weak, which I assume is why it takes so incredibly long to "search for an update". My question is, am I missing something? I'll attach two photos of my screen when I extract the files on the computer(MacOS), but I thought that it should automatically start as soon as it detects the drive? Anyone able to share some light? I hear updating via USB can be kinda iffy sometimes, so idk.
Thank y'all, and have a good day.
BTW, my current version is 2.3, updated in December iirc
(If this isn't the correct subforum, mods feel free to move. Just put it here cause I saw others posting regarding Sync 3)
