Programmable Engine Idle Shutdown
What is "Programmable Engine Idle Shutdown"?
My current SD has a "turbo timer" that allows me to idle the truck with keys removed for up to ten minutes. It's great for running into a Stop N Rob for a drink, etc. Get the keys back in and ignition on before ten minutes is up and all is good. Touching clutch or brake pedal with no key and engine shuts off.
I couldn't find jack squat about this feature on this site. A quick Google, and the only thing I found suggested that this feature would turn off an idling vehicle THAT HAD KEYS IN IGNITION IN "ON" POSITION!?!
Which is it?
Oh, do I hate any and all "nanny" features.

RE: "mostly a fleet option": I wonder when it will no longer be an option. Lots of jobs require extended idling...
