Does anyone know what tires were originally installed on a 2004 crew cab 2wd with the 5.4l engine? The original size should be P265/60R18, but I'm curious what the manufacturer and model of those tires was. I'm trying to compare the revolutions per mile of the originals to some replacements (since these numbers vary quite a bit even within the same tire size).

how much variation are you seeing ? .......... i would think it would way below 1% difference in brands ?

 

Pretty sure back then the 4x2 trucks had Continental ContiTrac tires and the 4x4 trucks got BFG RuggedTrail T/A tires.

 

I had a 2wd 04' STX that came with Michelins. Don't remember the model.

 

You'd be surprised. There can be several percent variation...but It's more for curiosity sake than an actual problem.
