If you made it through the weekend with all your fingers intact & your animals still at home, call it good.

If you have your health, even better.

God is good!
I'm happy to say He has kept me safe up until this half way point in the year. I pray that He continues to keep everyone safe from the virus and the crazies!
God bless y'all.

Today's sermon. The parable of The Man Who Lived By The River.

One day a man who lived by a river opened his paper & read a headline that said " Severe Storms Coming, Floods Expected".

He thought to himself, "I have no worries, I'm a pious & righteous man, the Lord will protect me".

Later that day he heard a news report on the radio that storms had broken out up stream & water was rising. "Prepare to evacuate in these areas if waters rise" it said.

"I have no worries, I'm a pious & righteous man, the Lord will protect me", said the man.

The next morning the TV news said "Record rain fall has swollen the river to record levels, evacuate now".

The man smiled & said, "I have no worries, I'm a pious & righteous man, the Lord will protect me".

Later that day as water began to lap at his front steps, a search & rescue boat came to his house and the people called out, "Quick, come with us now, before it's too late".

But the man was unworried & said "Thank you, but I have no worries, I'm a pious & righteous man, the Lord will protect me".

The water continued to rise and soon the man crawled onto his roof. Soon a rescue helicopter appeared above his home & lowered a harness to him.

"Quick, climb into the harness & we'll lift you to safety" they called over the PA. Secure in his faith, the man replied the same as before & chopper reluctantly flew away.

Eventually, the power of the water was not to be denied and the house was ripped from it's foundation & was pulled into the raging current.

Soon the house was torn apart & the man became entangled in the wreckage and suffered greatly before drowning.

Soon the man stood before our Lord and cried in anguish, "Heavenly Father, why did you forsake me? I'm a pious & righteous man who has sang your praises for life".

The Lord God looked sadly down from his heavenly throne at the man & said...

"I sent you a newspaper, radio & TV report. I sent brave and honorable people who risked their lives for you... Why are you here?"

VERY good sermon!
SO.... be watchful and use COMMON sense. I know it's not that common to have common sense but I would expect people who own FORDs should have some!

Thanks Mike. It's one of my favorites & fits this crap perfectly.

It's really hard to watch local TV & the people they interview about Covid, masks, distancing or anything related.

Saw a really big guy say he's healthy & "If I get it, I'll get over it easy".

I've worn masks & respirators in all situations, temps & levels of physical exertion. The excuses that get spun border on the ludicrous.

Caught some MS mayor on a news report blathering about "dictators" & daring lil' man Tate to come "make him wear a mask".

This is going to be a really long hard road.

Good luck everybody.

Have a good week best as you can.

Yep... you are right on point David!
All those, "I'm too healthy to get sick" people are gonna get a RUDE awakening. AND, the bad thing is, THEY, keep on passing the virus around to others who DON'T NEED TO GET sick.....
I personally know a family that ALL got sick from a family member who brought it home... FROM THE GYM..... HELLO.... THE GYM.... The nastiest place on the face of this earth. (Just go lick the floor in a hospital and be DONE WITH IT...)
WONDERFUL....
