Erratic Automatic transmission shifting
My 95 F150 Pu 4X4 suddenly was shifting poorly. Harsh shift once in a while. No passing gear and delayed second to third. Took it to a trans shop. It checked out good.On a hunch I replaced the throttle position switch and now all trans problems are gone. Road tested perfect. The check engine light would come on briefly and then go out but no codes were stored. No light and problem solved.After all that TPS was 25 years old.
Now the new one, made in China wont last half as long lol.
