Methanol flush
My fuel system is clogged with unwanted bio-diesel by product. I have tried several solvents to clean the system but none will touch it. I just tried methanol and it dissolved the brown goo and cleaned the metal parts.
Can I run some of it through the IP without running the engine? I'm thinking of mixing some ATF with it, and injecting it in while cranking it over and the pedal floored. I will disconnect glow plugs so it doesn't "fire up". I can even disconnect all injector lines so it doesn't reach cylinders. Anybody got any ideas?
