Reminds me of the Hertz Mustang. Still, i think now you have to give your license and CC information to rent a van, so when someone realizes there has been a change there could be a considerable paper trail. I guess the real factor here is how many people rent the van between maintenance checks.
You'd have to know these two motors very well to be able to tell the difference. That and I believe the 4.8 was mated to a 4l60, the 6.0 to a 4l80. Plus you'll need to tune both vehicles after the swap. Probably a troll post, but still funny!
Fake......no one can actually do that these days and get away with it like that. On top of that, posting that you did it will land you in jail as you just admitted to theft.
Hell posting anything about nothing can get you investigated or......cancelled.
someone down here in VA got busted because he rented a car and swapped out all the
struts and springs from the new rental on to his older car of the same make.
In a large city, you can probably get a 6.0 with a guarantee for a few hundred bucks or even less, and not have to put an engine back into the donor vehicle...
I work in Ag manufacturing and awhile back one of the salaried folk manage to drive 7 tractors out. He didn't plan on one of the buyers taking it to a dealer for warranty work. He doesn't work there anymore but last I knew his wife still did. I have to ask how many of you could stash 2 million away without your wife knowing something was up?
My boss told me back in the 80s when fuel injection came out and no one new how to diagnose them. Shops would go rent cars and play swaptronic unit car was fixed. Fix any car that rental place had for $19.95.
