Help
I have a 96 7.3 I just put new injectors new IPr new icp and the truck runs great and strong I’m having one issue that is when I Q up my vhf tow way radio it kills the engine as if I shut the key off or it will miss and sputer Until I release the mike I’m stumped with this

I've read here on the forums that some members reporting their trucks dying when going thru radio/power towers. IIIC it had something to do with the CPS signal being interrupted by the radio/magnectic waves. Don't remember what the fix is but should give you a perspective of whats going on.

Like z31 I have not heard of this problem for years but at one time there were some problems and I also think the cure was the CPS. (IIRC) That being said get new motor craft one. About $28 even from dealer.

I had also seen where corroded grounds did this. Might want to take a look at the block-to-frame ground.

icp can be affected radio interference, exhaust back pressure sensor can be affected by radio interference.
both can be tested by unplugging them and see if the problem still exists or goes away.
