1993 E150 5.8L throws codes galore
Recently Changed - MAP Sensor, Air Charge Temp Sensor, Electronic Coolant Sensor, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Plugs - multiple times, PCV valve and intake manifold cleaned thoroughly with Seafoam and transmission fluid, both Batteries(has wheelchair lift), removed catalytic converters, replaced any hoses that were confirmed leaking
2013 tuneup. Wires, Cap and Rotor, Ignition coil and wire, PCV Valve and grommet, O2 Sensor. Tuneup didn't solve the cranking issue, so it sat a lot after 2013 also.
Sigh. I'm not the mechanic.. I'm the guy who needs the lift more frequently nowadays.. The mechanic chased the problem but didn't solve the cranking issue. He told me it was only throwing an airbag code now, but after talking around thought I might need a new ECM. So.. I bought an Innova 3145, drove it until it was hot, and got it plugged in. I think it's memory only handles 12 codes. I had to count out the last 7 myself. This is just the KOEO test..
117 ECT sensor is/was low or grounded – engine coolant temp sensor below minimum voltage. 254degrees indicated
638 TOT sensor is/was low or grounded – Transmissions below temp
126 MAP or BARO sensor out of range – “>MAP above or below normal
122 TP low (possibly grounded or open circuit) – TPS below min voltage
112 Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is/was low or grounded – air charge temp sensor below minimum voltage
327 EGR feedback signal is/was low – EVR or PFE
654 Transmission selector not in PARK – Transmissions
513 Replace processor (PCM) (internal failure) - PCM internal voltage failure
553 AIRD solenoid/circuit failure – Solenoids - thermactor air diverter solenoid circuit fault
552 AIRB solenoid/circuit failure – Solenoids - thermactor air bypass solenoid circuit fault
565 Canister Purge 1 solenoid/circuit failure – Solenoids
556 Fuel pump relay primary circuit fault – Power / Fuel Pump Circuits -
558 EGR vacuum regulator solenoid/circuit failure – EVR or PFE or Solenoids
621 Solenoid/circuit failure – shift solenoid 1 – Transmissions
622 Solenoid/circuit failure – shift solenoid 2 – Transmissions
631 Overdrive Cancel Light circuit problem – Transmissions
629 Torque Converter Clutch circuit fault – Transmissions
626 Transmission Coast Clutch (CCS) Solenoid/circuit fault – Transmissions
624 Solenoid/circuit failure -Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) current is high
I can drive it once it's started, but I dare not turn it off away from home.. and I can't work on it myself. Help? Like.. please help? And a lot of thanks in advance?
Could be a simple external wiring connection issue as Spaznut says or something internal to the ECM.
Good luck with this!

Good luck with this---most likely its not an overly complicated fix, just frustrating as hell know WHAT is amiss!

As far as I know, we disconnect the battery, install ecm, then reconnect the battery. Anything else we should be doing?
