Scott, I'm really hoping that you have the GB mounted before the Gettysburg gathering, I'm very interested to check one out up close. Future plans.......

So am I. ETA is the 8th of July so give or take, It will be a priority install.
I love my Goosebox, but I found out to be careful of one thing when installing. My trailer dealer installed my hitch. I move the trailer from the dealer to the RV park I am living in, which it stayed for two years. We recently took a trip, 1,000 miles one way. I found out the junction box for the trailer wiring was mounted on the back side of the Goosebox. When I made a sharp turn, or backed into a sharp turn, the junction box hit the inside of my truck bed at top of the bed rail. I had to move the junction box to the inside of the goosebox frame.
Are you guys using the offset ball or is clearance okay on the 6' 3/4' bed trucks?
I'm curious about this issue as well. I'm planning on getting a 20K GB, and I was going to get a 4" offset ball. I have a turnover ball hitch, and a 6-3/4' box, and I'm trying to confirm that it will work with my 35' Montana 3121-RL trailer, before I order up the equipment, but it's not easy to figure out... I'll be checking back to see if anyone has the same combination. If I get the math worked out, I'll share my findings.
I have a short bed and the 5th is a square front, no issues or the need for an offset ball. I can't turn 90* but I never need to, too hard on the trailer suspension. I had a Curt slider when I first started with a 5th wheel and never used it on the road, only parking at the house.
for prospective. If you look directly down the OEM hitch, it is directly over the OEM ball for a gooseneck.
Goose box is due to arrive tomorrow If you look closely you can see the retaining pin sitting where the ball would be inserted
Hi Scott,
So the question is, is the Goosebox longer from the mounting bolts to the ball, than the stock set up. Here is a drawing I found online that shows the linear distance from the front bolt holes on the frame to the ball pocket (18.56”). I’m curious if the Goosebox is ‘longer’ than the stock set up, or if it’s the same. Unless the Goosebox is longer, I think you’ll need an offset ball to give you room to turn 90*.
