Hi All
I have a 1960 F100 with drums in the rear. They do not have an auto adjuster installed but I want to add one. Can anyone tell me whether they have done this and which model year auto adjuster will work?
Thanks
I asked this question a few years ago and I'm not sure if I got a real answer except, "the Ford auto-adjusts didn't work too well in that era".
I've got a '60 panel with the factory 9-inch rear and my question is how often do you have to adjust them? Not really too often, do you? I mean it takes about 5 minutes per side and to me there are more important things to worry about.
But if you find the answer, let us know. I'd still be interested in swapping mine out to a self-adjuster.
I'm assuming that you have a Ford 9" i would assume that if you were to get complete rear brake assembly off a newer 9" rear end? This is what I will be looking into when i get to that point.
