Hey guys,
just working on a new to me 2002 f 350 7.3 SRW I am doing rotors and callipers all around and when I took off the rear left wheel I saw that my axle seal is leaking. Just wondering if there's anything I should replace while I'm doing this job. bearings or other seals? Also, how do I identify my rear axle so I can order the right parts? They gave me like four options at the parts store.
Welcome to FTE (the 1999-2003 7.3 which is the bestest subforum in particular)! It's an SRW so it should be a Ford Sterling 10.5" axle. Take a pic of the tag on the pumpkin and we'll help you decode it.
if beaarings and races look good no need to replace, id plan on ebrake shoes, yours are probably covered in oil now and trashed, might not be bad time to change diff oil since youll have to top off anyway.
