Hey guys, I have a buddy that is about to scrap a 1990 7.3 IDI with about 80,000 miles on it. Is there anything on this engine that would work with my 2002 7.3 powerstroke? He will let me grab anything I want but I wasn't sure just what to grab.

Also is there a market for the complete engine if I was to remove the whole unit??

 

I have a 1991 F-150 Inline 6cyl. When I bought the truck new, I talked the Dealer out of a Full Service Manuel. The Manuel also has the 7.3 Diesel for that year (1991). I have tried to compare the 2001 7.3 truck that I have also, to the Manuels 1991 7.3..... After glancing over the manuel, it seems like nothing at all matches up, so I never look at that 1991 manuel when I am working on my 2001 F-250

A bit of a bummer, I was hoping to stash some cheap parts for any unforeseen issues down the road.

 

The only similarities between the 7.3 IDI and the 7.3 power stroke is the displacement
