Yesterday with my 2017, while towing about 12k pulling a hill, my cold side hose blew off the intercooler. Luckily the clamp didn't break and was still there, but I'm not a fan of the cheap factory hose clamps. On a stock truck, should I just upgrage the cheap hose clamps? Or should I consider upgrading the whole cold side assembly?
Ford I think changed the hose clamps on thye newer trucks. the hose clamp on my 15 is $50 to replace. It has a spring and made from stainless. You could just go to Ford and get a hose clamp from a 15.
