Buyback
Hi all. New to page. Forgive me if this was brought up before. I am searching for a newer f250 with 6.7. I found a 2019 F250 Lariat with everything I wanted. After carfax it currently has a branded title. It was a manufacture buyback from CA. Paperwork from dealer said water leak and was fixed. I live in IL and dealer told me it would be a clean title. Truck only has 9,000 on it. Dose anybody have experience with buying a buyback and should I be worried. Also how bad will I get hosed in 5 or so years when I try to trade it in. The dealer asking $58k

. Future value of your F250 would definitely depend on if the brand continued on the new title. I sold many Ford BuyBacks...never had any issues with them. Did the dealer make you aware of it...or...did you just stumble across it by checking CARFAX??? If the dealer didn't disclose it...I would run from them...they're not being honest.
I agree with Tom...at $58 gees...you're so close to the price of a new one that you should go that way. 2020 Lariat's sticker for around $67,000 before any incentives and negotiations. Send out an inquiry on True Car and you'll soon receive bids from multiple dealers.

Just. Buy a new one. There are a bunch of 2019 Lariats around new England.
You will feel better if you buy a new one and not have to worry.
Plus, that Water leak could have done a good amount of trouble and they won't tell you what exactly was fixed... or not
