This was a timely topic for me.
Was driving home yesterday with my Brand new travel trailer and the hose burst. Narrow two lane with gravel shoulders....
Should have done it before I went to go get the trailer...
Its an old 2011 with 150K. Surprised it made it this long!
Replaced with a Rudy's kit. Looks and fits good, but the only issue is the sensor security. It seems too loose to me, so I'll have to figure out a better way to secure it. Otherwise, so far so good.
Though I don't have the miles you have, I went out and bought a new IAT sensor from my dealer. It seemed to fit tighter than my original one.
I put a new o-ring on, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I wonder if the opening in the kit is slightly larger? Maybe I'll try a new sensor. Thanks! Thumbs up

No I think your assessment is on. Mine feels somewhat loose but the new one seemed to help. You just have to make sure the tab on the sensor sits up against that stop. I cable tied down my sensor wire to help prevent movement of the sensor.
I was into the throttle pretty hard Friday merging onto the freeway and I heard the typical pop. Nursed it home and the hose blew loose at the Cold side factory clamp that is not adjustable. I have 60,000 miles on my 6.7. I went to the hardware store and bought a clamp and fixed it temporarily. I have 100,000 mile warranty on my truck so I took it to the dealer to have it fixed as I did not order a Rudy’s like I should have.I figured it would cost me my hundred dollar deductible, but to my surprise the warranty company declined to pay for the repairs since it was a clamp failure. I guess the dealer should not have told the warranty company that it was the clamp, maybe they would have covered it if the plastic had exploded. The dealer did not charge me any labor and the part was $133 and change. Now sometime in the near future I will order a Rudy’s kit to have if this one goes again. I did save the factory pipe that the mechanic took off as it would also get me going if down the road I need a temporary fix . I am prepared for the fuel filter housing break that usually happens as I have another factory one ready for that. Should’ve been prepared for the cold side pipe failure.
I had that same thing happen to my truck. I just bought another spring clamp from the dealer and fixed it myself. Hose clamp was $50. Your extended warranty is the reason i didn't get it. High deductible and then oh by the way we don't cover that. But thanks for all that $$$ you gave us. I have been through that with my Taurus SHO that I ordered. I had some trim pieces that went bad and wouldn't you know not covered. never again will I purchase another ESP.
I have the Rudy's kit and i love it.
I had my sensor on my Rudy's kit pop off, when I was flying down a dirt road at speed, and came upon some HUGE washboard section. After that, I criss-crossed zip tied the sensor into place, never had a problem since....

I just got my 2015 back from getting deleted, and they installed a cold side upgrade. Not sure what the exact brand was, but here are a few pictures. Can anyone identify it? I haven't had enough time with the truck yet to evaluate the delete, but it seems to be running great, and not noticeably louder. They put a 'tow tune' on it, which they said only adds about 40 HP. That's OK, because my goal is reliability, not ultimate power...

Congrats on getting it back. They eliminated the throttle valve and have the adapter on there. Did they put a muffler on the straight pipe? Did you retain the factory tailpipe?
I have no idea what kind of cold pipe that is.
I see the IAT sensor wire but where's the sensor at?

Thanks, it's good to have it back, for sure! It has the stock tailpipe with the stock resonator, but no added muffler. I don't think it's very loud at all, but also haven't pushed it too hard yet. I'm not sure about the IAT, but I'll check when I get home. Thanks for the head's up.

The sensor is in the front side. In the third picture above, the wire doesn’t look like it’s connected, but it is. Here’s a picture from the driver side that shows it.
