Making a complete truck
I got the engine running, cleaned and painted the engine bay and interior. I ditched the bed as my plans for the truck involved cutting it to swb length and putting a flareside bed on it.
The truck is now running and driving, but I want a short bed. After much consideration, I decided to look for a swb flareside truck and transfer my engine and cab onto it instead of cutting the frame and trying to find a flareside bed. After looking for a couple of months I found this.
It's a 1977 f-150 4x4! I got it for just under 2000$. I'll be picking it up this saturday from a local junkyard in AZ.
The floors are rusted through as well as some areas of the bed but other than that everything is solid.
This truck originally came with an I6, which is currently in the bed of the truck. I'm not sure what trans was in it but it was a standard trans.
What will I need to do to make my 351m work with this truck? I plan on using the manual transmission set up with it. Thanks in advance!
As I was scrolling through the pics, I was thinking that I'd be highly tempted to look for a '73-'77 grill for it, and then I saw that you did just that!
