Find a Tremor that you like and grab a few friends..
Hold a string at the center of both the front and rear wheel well lip. use a piece of painters tape to note string height at rear of cab area. Then lower the string at rear wheel well by 1 1/2" and note string height at rear of cab area again. Subtract that value from the measured height at rear of cab. That will be the tallest height with lower blocks installed.
In this scenario the exact truck I am looking for to measure would be a Tremor with the rear block removed, or a normal F250 with no lift and 35” tires. Neither of which I’m likely to stumble upon which is why I posed the question here as I can only assume there are a couple of people here with either of those setups.
The gentleman who said he has 35s on his stock 350 and is at 82” was helpful, though I’m still confused with how that is possible given the from factory sits at 81.5 with 32in tires.
Per your first post, the Tremor was 83” with 35” tires. It has 3” blocks and a 2” lift. My truck has 2” blocks and 1” lift from snow plow springs, so it’s 1” lower at 82” with 35” tires. Makes sense to me. But I’m sure it varies slightly from truck to truck.

Where did you come up with factory tire size being 32in.? Factory tire size w/20" wheels is 34", on18's they might be 33".
I would think a good dealer would let you test drive a Tremor and see if it would fit in your garage.
Yeah, if the dealer has one in stock. They get swooped up pretty quick it seemed to me when I was looking before I ordered mine. I missed one by two hours once.
Personally, I’d just get a regular 250 or 350 and add tires and wheels to suit your taste. I looked at the Tremors, but I really don’t like the black-out thing, and didn’t want the truck higher than needed due to hauling a truck camper. Ended up with a F350 with tires and wheels I liked much better than the Tremor has. Empty with 35” tires it’s just under 82”.
The black out thing you mentioned has nothing to do with the Tremor package. If you see a truck without chrome. that is the Lariat Sport Package. Just so you know.

depends on trim . I have a xlt premium tremor. The wheels and running boards are black. Grill bumpers and door handles are the same as a none tremor.
HD5280, hopefully you confirm that a Tremor will fit and you get the truck. One comment I would add is that the angle of approach entering your garage along with the orientation of the truck (pulling it in forward or backing in) can have a significant effect on the clearance needed. If your driveway has a slope starting near the garage door threshold that falls lower that the garage floor and you back your truck in, it will take less total door height than if you pull in forward. If your driveway slopes upward from the garage door threshold it will take more door height.
Someone mentioned earlier that test driving one and seeing if it fits is your best bet. Even if your test drive is in a non Tremor, you will get a good idea of how much room you will have. There are other threads on this site where people have measurement differences between the Tremor and non-Tremor trucks that will aid in making the right choice.
Good luck in your search! There are plenty of Tremor's out there, especially here in Texas
Since the issue seems to be over a couple of inches, does your garage door trim have any room for modification? The door usually rolls a couple of inches above the actual opening anyways, does it? Can you replace a piece of trim and get the truck you want instead of compromising what you’re driving every day?
