Retainer pin?

Hey guys, the pin in my automatic shifter keeps coming out. I dont really have a way to flatten the "top side". Does anyone have any other options? Do they make pins that are already "capture" type pins?

They make two different kinds. Split pins or spring pins and roll pins.

Here is the split pin or spring pin.

Here is a roll pin.

Your local Ace or True Value should have a selection. Or the Do it Best place.

You could put it in with a little hot glue added, would still be removable but not likely to fall out.

I ended up replacing the roll pin about a year ago and its been working just fine since then.
