6.0 injector service
History, I got a wrecked 2003 f350 6.0 for pretty cheap, looked super clean for its age, lots of new parts under the hood. The batteries were gone and battery cables cut. I replaced the cables and installed batteries. Trucked fired and ran smooth after the first 30 seconds or so(had been sitting a year) oil level was right on coolant was in tank. Put about 20 miles on it driving it around making sure everything was good motor and trans wise. Was going to drive it to my shop and start fixing the body damage when it just died. I looked at my fuel gauge and it was on E and light was on. Figured i was out of fuel left truck and grabbed 10 gallons put it in went to fire it back up after about 4-5 fuel pump cycles to reprime system. Hit key to fire and it didnt turn over like it was locked up. Tried again and nothing, tried a 3rd and it cranked about 1/2 rev before locking back up.
Towed to my shop tried to bar over by hand, didnt work. Pulled all the glow plugs and cranked it over and it blew oil and fuel out of the passenger side back 2 holes. Pulled valve covers to find new injectors(could be remans). Pulled all the injectors looking for bad orings or missing coppers but cant see any problems(bad orings or damaged or missing coppers) so im wondering if i had an injector stick open and allowed the back 2 cylinders to fill with diesel.
I wanted to send them out and have them tested before buying another set. I say they are new as the wires look new and the solenoid connectors are white not yellowed from oil.and heat, plus the orings all look brand new along with no carbon build up on the nozzles.
Anyways sorry for the long post hope someone knows of someowhere to send these for testing. Dont have a problem buying new ones, just want to know if this is my problem or not
