2016 Expedition alternator issues?

2016 Expedition alternator issues?
My boss at work has a 2016 Expedition, he said everything died at the stop light. Tow truck driver told him alternator most likely died. Has anyone else had alternator trouble out of this new of a vehicle?

Yeah, guages started going dim and engine died. I was just trying to make sure there wasn't any know issues with these trucks.
