i currently have a 2019 f250 lariet which i love, is there anything besides the engine and tranny that i cant add to make my 2019 look and drive like the tremor. i love the stance and look. Other option is to trade is the front end totally different?
I don't think there is anything from the Tremor package(besides engine/tranny) you can't add aftermarket. Actually aftermarket will probably get you a better product for less money. If you want the look of a Tremor you need the following
Short front valance- buy a 2wd or cut yours down
different shocks- The jury is still out on whether the Tremor shocks are actually an improved shock or just the regular shock painted to look pretty. Buy some aftermarket shocks from one of the big names and have something good.
Black wheels and mud tires- easily done aftermarket or look for a set of takeoff Tremor wheels/tires
Raptor style running boards- buy an aftermarket clone of these or look on ebay and get a set of actual Raptor takeoffs. The cabs on the 2015+ f150 and 2017+ super duty are the same so the boards will interchange as long as the cab is the same version
Wheel flares- go through the hoops of buying a set of OEM takeoffs and drilling the holes to mount them or buy a set of BushWhacker OEM flares which are almost identical. just remember if you go with the aftermarket flares to put some 3M paint film behind them to protect the paint, or spray the area behind the flares with line X like I did.
Suspension height- some guys are saying that the pre 2020 trucks with the plow springs sit about the same height as a Tremor equipped 2020. If this is not the case a mild suspension lift will cure that.
Gears- Tremors come with 4.30 gears to offset the 35" tires, you can do this aftermarket if you really need to but it will be expensive to do both axles.
Front limited slip- you can add an aftermarket limited slip or selectable locker to your front axle that will probably be better than the Ford supplied unit.
Only thing left that you won't have is the selectable drive modes that the 10spd trans has but in reality how many people actually use that stuff? You could use Forescan to add Hill Decent Control to your truck if it doesn't have the FX4 package and already come with it.
If you are after the look running boards, wheel lip moldings, wheels and tires, and a sticker should do the trick. May be able to get a set of take off wheels and tires to save a few$. Also may need to add a small lift spacer in the front for tire clearance.
If you want some of the running gear stuff like front limited slip and improved shocks, the aftermarket will offer some better options but won’t be cheap. Examples of wold be a trutrack front diff and Carli pin top lift with King shocks.
I would wager to say the mods will likely be cheaper than the depreciation hit on a 2019 to a 2020 unless you really want the extra power and gears.
I have a tremor. It does seem to perform better in deep snow and mud than my 16 F250 Fx4 did. What ever is in front differential seems to work well. I haven’t done anything extreme with it yet. I did pull a couple stumps out with it, and all four tires did spin. I tried to climb a steep hill the most stock trucks can’t climb. I made it almost to the top, I got a full truck length higher than my brothers 150 did. All 4 of my tires were spinning. Som say the tremors limited slip doesn’t work. It seems to work fine for me.
the only problem I see with adding bigger tires and the limited slip yourself is it could cause warranty issues.
…..make my 2019 look and drive like the tremor. i love the stance and look...……. is the front end totally different?
The stance and similar look can be accomplished fairly easy, but I'm not sure what you mean by "drive like a Tremor", maybe you can elaborate. The Tremor has a good amount of rake, so on your 19 a 1"-1.5" coil spacer or snow plow springs would get you close on the stance. Smaller chin spoiler, paint to match flares and some black 18" wheels w/35" Duratracs (orTremor take offs) complete the look. Not sure what you are asking about the front end. If its the grill, headlights and bumper you are wondering about, yes they are different than your 19, that's true of all 20's vs your 19.
Please, just trade it in and get the Tremor.... Make sure the salesmen throws one of these hats in with the deal...
Lol, spoken like a true salesman. Are you one? My buddy baught a Ford transit one night, they gave him and 2 other friends whatever Ford swag thay wanted. One of them, a RAM owner, picked out a pretty sweet Ford jacket. I was close to buying a used Super Duty off a Nissan lot, to close the deal the salesman offered a half price oil change and a Nissan hat, lol.
If he is that enamored with the Tremor and has the means, why not trade.
