Everything is stripped off, doors included so it’s off for final body work, door gaps, seam sealers, little bumps and dings worked out then the paint decision, so it’s only a couple weeks away from getting there, this has been a long road over 7 years now.
I have many new parts coming so that means the old ones will be sold, if I can help anyone along their journey please let me know what your looking for, I have odds and ends but it may be what you need and the prices will be very fair, as this forum and members have provided me priceless advice along my path.

I think RangerMercMan may be more accurate, because the white looks lighter than Wimbledon White and the blue looks darker than Marlin Blue. For reference, here's my 66 in the combo from 1966...Wimbledon White and Marlin Blue....
this is a work of art right here, I really like what you’ve done, are you going to put the side trim back on it?
66...no, I got rid of the side trim. I liked the simpler look with only front and rear brightwork. Thanks a lot for the compliment! By the way, you know that you will have to mount that lower deflector to the grille and install them together, so it will need to come off the truck before you paint. Also, that will allow paint to the surfaces of the forward fenders, behind the deflector. Another thing...by the looks of your truck so far, I’m sure that it will turn out beautifully!!
Had to stop by today to check on progress, it’s looking better each and everyday. Door gaps are looking good...... These folks are awesome, small town service is irreplaceable.
I stopped by the shop today and the old girl is ready for paint, all the body works been done the door and hood gaps look great and the attention to detail by these folks has been awesome. So it’s final prep time and that means final decision time on paint color as well.
Glad that you're getting good service!! I like that they blocked it with a guide coat. She looks really straight and, as you said, nice even door gaps all around. You're going to be fired up when you see your truck with some color on it!!! A funny thing I noticed....you can sure tell that you're not in California! That old brick building they're working in would have had to have earthquake retrofit, so the job would have cost you twice as much!!

resonateur, thanks for the response, out here in backwoods country we don’t see many earthquakes, I’ve felt a few during my time on the west coast while in the Navy. If you feel the ground roll around here it’s because the neighbors lighting off the burn pit or just playing with real big fireworks.......the homemade ones.
Yes it it will be nice to see something other than grey, it’s been 7 yeas in the making.....
Final decision.....
I had to walk in and out of the sunshine to see the color change this morning and I believe the decision has been made..... now to keep my fingers crossed and prayers that it looks good when applied. There’s a lot more surface than what these little spray outs can show.

Quick question since you are getting everything straight. What is the size of the gap between the fender and cowl? I need to tighten mine up when the fenders come off and I'm wondering what I should be shooting for.

I will be stopping back by the shop in a few days and I will send you that measurement
