Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
1) Using the VIN of my 2000 F250 Crew Cab 2WD Super Duty, 7.3 PSD Auto, is it possible to determine the P/N for the GEM?
Mine was corroded by windshield leak. It was discarded before I wrote down the P/N.
I purchased a used one on line: F81B 14B205 EP

P131 GEM VERSION EP
2) I heard that GEM's can be reconfigured/calibrated based on the VIN, is that true?
2A If 2 is true, where/who can perform such service?
3) Any information is appreciated!
