Dana 60 Solid Axle Swap - need help!

So I picked up a Dana 60 kingpin out of a wrecked 1990 F350 dump truck dually last year, and have just now gotten around to getting it put in and rebuilt.

I can attach some pictures later, but right now I need help finding the correct steering linkage for it. My truck is a 1986 F250 that originally came with the Dana 44 TTB, and since the front axle had dually adapters on it, we took those off and tossed em. We also tossed the steering linkage because it was throttled as well. Now we figured we'd be able to re-use my old TTB steering linkage and get it aligned. Uhh no. Far from it actually. It's wayyyy too big, the truck goes down the road with the front tires pointing out to the sides basically. We figured, ok we'll go get the F350 steering linkage and that'll fix er up (aftermarket of course because it's all obsolete from Ford). Again...nope! That's even longer than the TTB linkage, so we're at a loss here.

What linkage do I need to get to get it to work in my truck?

Thanks.

The f350 linkage should work. You have basically the same truck above, the same steering box at the same location. By the way I would not have tossed those adapters, there is a dually craze I don't know of it's still going, but someone would buy those from you I am sure.

It should look and hook up just like this. You should also have mounted a track bar. Don't rely on the front leaf springs to hold the frontend from shifting side to side. You changed the springs also correct?

For the time being, I did not change the springs. Eventually I will be lifting it, but wanted to get the front-end installed and going now that I don't want it taking up real estate in the bed of my truck. I don't use the truck for much work related stuff for the time being, maybe the occasional extremely light towing (48 inch deck John Deere, and Cub Cadet snow blower with a aluminum tiny trailer), so i'm not plowing snow with it, or really romping on it for what a 1 ton would be used for otherwise. Plus, the TTB torqued my pass. side spring a little as well so my mechanic had fun attaching it to that.

I was told by Complete Performance out of TX that I need the F350 pitman arm to make everything line up. My mechanic doesn't seem to think so, I think it would take the angle out of it and suck up the difference in size, but I don't know.

It does have the bar that bolts up to the cross member installed right now.

Unfortunately the adapters are gone, but it is what it is.

My mechanic included a picture of the TTB stuff compared to the new Moog stuff and he's saying it sticks out on each side like a foot and half. I'm not there to see it so i'm just relaying what he's said, here's what we were given at Car Quest.

Show him the picture above. It does not hook up like the ttb linkage.

I think we're all on the same page now. Once we get the correct pitman arm in, I think it'll fix all the issues, so we'll just have to see. Tomorrow's when everything's going to come together and we'll see where we stand.

Thanks for the help.

It's not intuitive, but the F-250 springs are much stiffer than the F-350 springs. That's because the TTB suspension has more leverage on the springs than the solid axle does. So keeping the F-250 springs isn't going to reduce the kind of loads the truck can haul, they're going to make it ride like crap.
