bolts for mirrior

any one know the size and length of the bolt that are used to bolt the round mirror in the door slot dc is out of them but macs has them but no bolts

Mine came with the bolts, the repro's I have are M-8 by about 25mm.

Yeah, metric..........a violation of the Old Ford.........

I was going to say 5/16 24, but you are right. I just replaced mine and remember needing a 12 mm wrench and being offended by that.

I have some of the NOS round mirrors and they came with the bolts (screws as Ford called them in this case) and washers to attach them to the door.

373253-S7 - Screw and washer - 5/16" - 18 x 3/4"

For anyone curious the S7 indicates a soft silver cadmium plating.

If you have reproduction mirrors they well could be metric threads.
