What front bumper / brush bar would you get for protecting against deer? I don’t need the mad max edition. Never needed one before, I am driving more rural now and would prefer to not destroy the front end!
It was my intention when I ordered my F-250 in 02/20 to get a Ranch Hand, they were backed up and could not give a date
I reached out to them once I had a production date and this time they would not even return an E-Mail
I had a list all set up for my outfitter and was not aware they carried Ranch Hand and I had them call and after two day's
the word was back ordered.
I have the full Ranch Hand bumper replacement on my 14 F150. I have already hit 2 white tail deer with it at 50-60 MPH and you can't tell that it ever happened The full bumper replacement is the way to go.
With that said, I will warn you that the powder coat job on the Ranch Hand bumpers is by far the worst I've ever seen. One WI winter on my bumper and every weld seam was rusting through the coating, as well as all of the expanded metal across the grille. If you live in an area that rust is an issue, or even if you don't, I'd suggest having it Line-X coated at a local shop before you put it on. I have a bunch of friends with Ranch Hand's on their newer Super Dutys with Line X on them and they still look brand new several years later. I intend to do this when I order a Super Duty at the end of this year.

This is beyond accurate. I had to file for warranty on my first one because the rust was bubbling from below the paint. I actually JUST reinstalled my second one yesterday afternoon.

I would have liked to put in a warranty claim on mine. I bought mine 2nd hand from a guy that only had it on his truck for a week before it got rear ended and totaled. I ended up getting the bumper for $400 so I don't feel too terrible about it rusting so fast, but I wish I would have known it was going to happen before I hung it on the truck.
Westin winch mount grill guard part number 40-93905 fits 17-19 Super Dutys. This is the 3rd truck that I've installed one on, the quality is top notch. It is very solid and I didn't want a heavy full replacement bumper. I also installed a winch with the stronger than cable synthetic rope to keep the weight down.
You can get these grill guards for under $800. I have just under $1200 in my setup including the winch.

I’d protection is what you’re looking for full replacement ranch hand no question. I’ve had then on all my vehicles. Hit several deer and you’d never even know it. The powder coat is pretty bad. I just rhino lined it. Problem solved
Just installed a Westin HDx on wife's 4RNR after i hit a buzzard at 65......amazingly the repair was easy....but used the replacement cost of grill to wife....lol....
She said get one....!!!
OK, all that said...I browsed in the shop for mine.....the Ranch Hand, indoors mind you, had corrosion weeping between weld beads. I mean really? no solid weld around the tubes???
Looks to me like they are living on name now and QC is not what it should be.
The Westin is a beauty, solid welds all around, no pin holes and powder coat is solid.
So, I'd look around at most anything but Ranch Hand, heh and I live 10 miles from their factory......
Steelcraft the finish on it is like no other Ive seen dont see this one ever rusting.
Now that is nice looking.
Exactly what I'm looking for.
Center grill protection and the headlight bars provide good coverage for those buzzards trying a fast low horizontal take off...lol.....
