I agree 100% both 6.2 and 7.3 make great boat anchors and neither is a Great Marine Diesel.

Thanks guys, I think I have decided I don't need a rather large hole in the water to throw my money into, but a 12X60 houseboat does sound interesting.

all ya need is a good inline 6 in that house boat. as you ain't trying to put it on plane anyway last one I had was 119X20

in a house boat it might not be a bad thing but it will cost you plenty to Marinize it

4 cylinder diesels are Flawed 5 Cylinder is a good start
