Windows look great! You say wrap on the bottom? Is that like a decal? Cheaper/better than painting?
Most people do a camo print or something like that. Some companies like to wrap their vehicles with advertising. It protects the paint and peels right off if you get bored with it.
So how do you get away with 49% on the front side windows when the minimum is 70%? Seems like the dark front side windows could get you stopped, then when the windshield is measured at 61 that could be a problem too. Don't know how strict window tint laws are enforced in your area but some places are real sticklers.
Tint tickets in NY are "fix it" tickets.
Tint laws are now enforced during the yearly inspections. If your windows are tinted, you don't pass inspection, unless "you got a guy".
how is it to view thru the tinted windshield a night? does it adversely effect the view minus just the darkness?
At 70% it's barely noticeable.
Infact, nighttime driving is made BETTER, due to the tint cutting down on glare from lights.
It's funny because when I was driving home from getting tinted, it was the evening, and it had just stopped raining. In the direction I was driving, it was raining ahead of me, but clear and sunny above and behind me. The dark gray sky, ahead, coupled with the green trees and sun blazing on them, then throw in the tint, I noticed and immediate difference in how the "Landscape" looked. It was like I was looking at an HD Screensaver.
Try this go for a ride at dusk just after sun set with dark sun glasses. Your eyes need light to see tint blocks light. Driving a motor vehicle and reducing you vision is just......wow!
Sunglasses are SIGNIFICANTLY darker than 70%. They're more around 15-20%.
Some great pics, thanks all for sharing. While I have not always tinted the windows in my previous vehicles, I think I will do Ceramic on my incoming one. It would definitely help being in Florida!
I have this installed on my windshield. There are positive and negatives in doing this. I now run with my lights set to “off” instead of “auto” as I had issues. With the lights set at auto, the tint causes the light to switch from driving lights to headlights depending on how much sun is directly impacting the windshield. I got tired of looking down at the dashboard and it’s completely dark when I have my sunglasses on. Not to mention, I suppose people think I am flashing my lights at them as they switch off an on while I drive around.
I'll second how the windshield tint (80%) reduces glare. I was skeptical, but agreed to the $100 gamble. I figured if it caused me issues at night, I could always just peel the crap off. It cuts down on glare at night at makes it easier for me to see when approaching oncoming traffic. You cant tell its there unless you look from the outside through an open door and compare to the sky.
Lol......You get by using a legal and high percentage tint that allows in light with the added benefit of drastically reduced interior temperature or you cross your fingers when using a lower than legal tint and hope that the police won’t notice and bother you.
Some tint brands have tint that’s really geared toward the front windshield.

I’m a Huper Optik fan.
Only un-tinted UV film can be on a windshield here in Texas with a prescription.
And as of 01/01/2019 the Texas Department of Public Safety, Regulatory Services Division, will no longer issue Window Tint Exemption Certificates.
