Custom cab

Just bought a 64 f100 custom cab today and was wondering what makes it a custom cab what makes it different from just the normal cab

Custom cab was an option. It got you a chrome bezel for the speedo and below that was a piece that said custom cab. You also got a chrome strip on the dash at what I would call the belt line. Door inserts with trim around the insert on the inside of the door and I believer the 4 piece headliner was custom cab only. Outside you got a bright grill but not a chrome bumper unless you ordered the chrome bumper separately. You also got chrome bezels around the door handle that said custom cab if you did not order it with the optional anodized aluminum trim down the entire side of the truck. If you ordered the trim you got a script that said custom cab on each door above the trim. there is also a chrome trim around the windshield that came with the package. I think the aluminum trim on the floor that holds the mat down was custom cab only also. I also believe chrome bezels around the tail lights were custom cab only.and possiblt the horn ring.

Interesting that it says the steering column steering wheel and column are color keyed. On my 64 they are all black. I have been told by ND that because mine was ordered with the HD black vinyl seat that also got you the black wheel column and levers. Guess I better put my arm rest on as I thought that was an add on. Guess not

If I recall correctly from reading this forum, the colour keyed steering wheel arrived mid way in 64. Skidoo you have a very early 64 so you play by the old rules I guess.
