Hey yall,
I'm trying to remove the cab from my 53 f-100. What is the best way to remove the clutch and brake pedals where the contact the frame. I've done good with all the other points of contact but this has me stumped.
Thanks
If you remove the panels around the pedals, and unhook the linkage and return springs, the pedals will swing below the floor without removing them.
To answer your question, for me it was easiest to remove the cab first, then the pedals.
The only way I could get the pedals off with the cab in place was, after removing all linkage and return springs, drive out the pin holding the arm on the end of the pedal shaft:
Push the arm off, then swing the clutch pedal down enough to clear everything and slide it out through the body support. Keep in mind there will be a sleave, a spring, and a number of washers fall off as it slides out.
