So my truck has developed a death wobble when the driver's side front tire hits a bump, manhole cover, etc. Come to find that the hub was loose on the spindle. I replaced both the inner and outer wheel bearings, which tightened up the hub.
But the problem persists. My new suspicion is bad tie rods. I hate to just throw money at it, so I was hoping to get some input before I replace the steering linkage.
Are there any other potential causes I should check? Thanks in advance for your advice.
Thanks for the input guys. I finally had a little time to get back under the truck to see what's going on. I think I may have found the issue:
I went ahead and ordered new inner & outer tie rod ends and adjusting sleeves so I can replace the entire linkage assembly. While I am doing so, I will keep an eye out for any additional issues.
