I have a 2017 f150 xlt I have tow mirrors on it already with a 22 pin connector the turn signals heated mirrors and puddle lights. The only thing I don’t have and want is power folding. Can I just buy a different switch ?

You ask a very good question, one that I have wondered myself. Is it cost effective for Ford to build a feature loaded mirror with and without the folding motors? Try ordering a switch. You may have to enable the function in Forscan.

A better place to start though would be to remove one of your mirrors and check the part number against a mirror with the power fold function.

 

At best, you'll just need a switch and Forscan. At worst, you'll need door modules and a door harness. It depends how uniform Ford was deciding to be.

My guess is a new switch and mirrors would be all you need.
