Starter Problem

I just replaced my starter yesterday and now the new one is working but it wont disengage from the fly wheel after it starts up and makes all kinds of noise and wont let go unless I turn the key again, what did I do wrong or what is wrong and how do I fix the problem???????

Sometimes you just get a crappy reman... take it back and get another.

Yeah, sounds like the Bendix spring is bad and it is nor releasing.
