I'm purchasing a 2020 F350 SRW SuperCab Short Bed. Now is there a bigger payload with 18" or 20" tires? Or does it not matter? Or does one size give a better ride?
Everything else being equal, trucks fitted with LT275/65R20E tires or LT275/70R18E tires have the same GVWR and payload specs. The 20” tires have higher load capacity, but the GVWR, rear GAWR, and payload specs are limited by the spring- and wheel load capacity specs.
GVWR, rear GAWR, and payload specs are lower on F350s fitted with LT275/65R18E tires due to their lower load capacity specs.
Note that the optional camper package is not available on trucks fitted with 20” wheels and tires.
