Will be installing the banks system next weekend. Am trying to find the idler pulley to replace the air pump. Sure someone will find it. But for this motor I am not finding it doing a google search. Any help?
If you have a F250 with the 460, don't you have two belts? What Banks system did you order? Sandy
the complete system. Headers to tailpipe. Slip fit in catalytic converter, which I may delete. Yes I have 2 belts. Trying to figure out the air pump bypass belt. Know I can run a shorter belt. But, bypass pulley seems an easier option if I can find it.
My air pump is not on the idler pulley belt. If you are leaving the cat on the Banks you should run the air pump. If not the short belt is the way to go. Just take off the air pump pulley and install the new belt. Air pump is dead. My shorter belt is 53". Sandy

do you have a part number for this belt sandymane?
I am almost positive it is a gates KO60470 purchased at Orileys. It was in stock. I think the length was 53" but not sure. I am sure of the number.
I found my receipt and it is listed as above and has a 3 yr warranty. Sandy

Thanks Sandymane. I will be completely removing the air pump, all related hoses, etc. Tidying up the engine bay. Will leave Tads/Tabs solenoid hooked up. Cap off all vacuum fitting, and plugging the back of the heads.

Sounds good. Nice to have options based on what we need and like. I have used Banks stuff on a 7.3 back in the 90's and it was quality back then. I'm sure you will be pleased with the new set up. Let us know how things turn out. Best Sandy.
I've a complete Banks system on my 89, it's been on since 03 with well over 200,000 miles on it. Not a crack, wimper or anything. Phenomenal system and super system, when loaded or pulling hard. I lost my cat somehow during the install and a straight pipe emerged. Remove the air pump, shorten the bracket up and install the shorter belt. Piece of cake. NAPA # 25 060470. Larry
Question. No emissions in our state. Any benefit to deleting the catalytic converter? I will be completely deleting the air injection system during the Banks exhaust install. I am NOT looking for a trash talk reply. Am genuinely curious if there are pros and cons to keeping the catalytic converter, or replacing with a more modern version, or none at all?

It is my understanding that the emissions which are normally eliminated will not be if the air pump is removed. They say the components in the emission will clog the cat and ruin it over time plus cause running issues. If you don't care about the cat gut it and no clog. Or, remove the cat and save it. The PO gutted mine so I didn't worry about my pump. I did however put a new pump on last weekend. Sandy
