It's hard to be to upset with the Cubs or Red Sox. I follow the Royals and I can tell you we would have loved to be in either one of their shoes. Making the playoffs is huge, unfortunately only one team gets to win it all!
Everyone I know is looking to get Grady Littles head on a spike. I have absolutely no idea why he kept Pedro in there. I thought we paid him to manage the team and make those decisions.... guess not. His mismanagement is going to make for a tremendous ratings drop for the MLB. No one wants to see the yankees in there again. Ratings will be through the floor.
I probably would have lifted him in the 7th. When Little let him come out to start the 8th I was screaming at my TV. I just screamed louder with each succesive hit Pedro gave up. Then I passed out from screaming when Little went to the mound and didn't pull Pedro. JK but I was really freaking out. It was obvious that even if Pedro wasn't losing it that the Yankees had been through the lineup enough times that they were getting good swings at him.
I thought, OK, let him come out for the 8th, that's fine, but get the hook handy.
When little walked out I thought, finally, let's get him out. THEN HE LEFT HIM IN!
Sure, Pedro is your stud, and you have to give him some respect, so I thought, again, OK, fine leave him in for another batter. That hit should have ended Pedro's night RFN. Little should have had the cojones to go out there and give him the hook. If he had, I'd be cheering for my Red Sox in the World Series.
