I am thinking of putting 255 70 15 tires on the front of my truck. I have 255 60 15 that are on the back and tried them on the front. The 255 cleared. I am seeking opinions about 255 70 15 on the front.
thanks
jerry

70 series tires will be considerably taller than 60 series, all else being equal. How much clearance do you have with the 255-60's? Do you have power steering? 255mm is a lot of rubber to try to turn manually.

I have 255/70/15 on the rear of my truck can not see ever running them in front, as 52 Merc said your front tires would be close to 2'' taller than rear!

I do have power steering in my truck. Right now I have 225 60 15 tires on the front. Turns like a dream. It’s just 225 look small. I tried 255 on the front and I tried pushing the truck it was a little difficult. But 255 filled up the space nicely.
thanks

I’ve been going back forth looking at tire posts. I think I’m leaning towards 255 70 15 in the rear and 235 70 15 in the front. I think the 70 series tires will fill up wheel well.
thanks

I decided on those same sizes for my pickup. I think it's a very nice compromise between filling the wheel wells and looking too modern. Of course, it all depends on the look you are going for.
