Time for new tires

Hey guys it's time for new tires going with 31x10.5x15. 1983 f150 4x4 all stock suspension setup. My question is, how is the TTB on tires? Do tires with regular rotations wear well or is the TTB set up hard on them? The reason I ask is I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying the money for good tires, but if they're not going to last long do I just buy less expensive no name tires? seeings how I will have to replace them more often. This is my first bullnose that's why I'm asking. Let me know what you guys think. your experiences, tips, ect.
Thanks Joe.

How many miles on it and has it been taken care of and frontend parts replaced through the years? A TTB will eat tires if it's wore out. If you keep them tight and aligned, they will not eat tires. Most of these trucks are driven and driven and driven, till they won't go anymore. Those are the ones that give the TTB a bad rap. They have never had any upkeep on the frontend parts.

Like @franklin2 said, as long as the setup is maintained, they're pretty good on tires. My old bronco chewed up tires the first year I had it, then I replaced every bushing in the front end. Next set of tires lasted for 3 years until I sold it with no uneven wear. And it goes without saying but regular rotations will definitely help. If mine bullnose was up and running, I'd have no problem throwing $1000 worth of tires on it.

Well I bought the truck from the original owner with 82,000 miles. The story goes it was only used for camping, canoeing, weekend running around, ect. The only problem i had was the vv-carb, and ignition system. That has all been removed and replaced. I guess the next step is to take it to the local alignment shop and see what they say.
