Sub box for regular cab f150

Hey guys got a quick question for all of ya. Has anyone made a sub box for a regular cab 2000 f150, I know there isn't much room back there, but I figured I would try and make one. Just want to see if anyone else has tried there luck at and what it looked like!!

thanks!

Well I am not the expert but I can tell you what I have done. Still working out the bugs with it though. I have tried about 4 combinations of speakers and amps in my '99 regular cab.
My current setup is 2 audibahn 1200X's (12" subs) in fairly small boxes (around 1 cu ft by guestimation). They are powered by an MTX 81000D amp (1500W rms mono @ 2 ohms). Its decent but having problem when I crank it up very high to much stuff ratles and atleast from the outside doesnt sound so good. I am goona play with some sound insulation and different boxes pointing in different angles.
I also had a JL 18W6 (18" sub) in there behind the passanger seat (dont expect any legroom left over) and the sub would really pound you in the back and rattle things of the dash. It was just to big to leave in there though if you have other passengers.
My recomendation would be 2 12" subs or perhaps you could fit 4 10" or 8" subs. Just make sure their rated good and you got a big amp and the impedance is matched (ohms). My amp is 2 ohms stable but my curent subs are 4 ohms total so I am not drawing the full power. Guess I need two more!

Happy Thumping

I have a 97 regular cab f-150 with a sub box behind the seat, but I did not build it myself. I purchased it through the dealer where i bought my stereo equipment. It's ported and houses two 10 inch Rockford subs and my Rockford amp. I can e-mail you pics if you'd like?

I have a box in my garage that I built for my buddy's 99 Lightning that I took out when he sold it. It houses two 10's and has a spot for amp mounting. It also does not take up ANY seat room. He is 6'6" and needed all the leg room he could get. It took a long time to get it built right, but it sounded fantastic. I can give more details if anyone is interested, or if anyone is interested in purchasing it it is available.

i made me a box for a 92 regular cab, and i don't think it would be that much different. but i also just found out about new subs that kole audio makes. it is their mfw series and they are made specifically for regular cab trucks as they are only 4" deep. and they pound. i have a set of 2 12's and they take around 2.25-2.4 cubic feet and i do competitions with them hitting into the 140's.

J.Garcia if you look at #1 ford tough's profile you can see Last Activity: 03-22-2006 11:36 PM so I doubt he'll be around to answer your question but you never know.

I have a 95 f150 standard cab and I have 2 12s behind the seats and 2 670 watt amps under one on each side and 3 ways in the doors. All pioneer premiere and the sub's are the shallow series. Sound amazing.
